Before installation
What should I do before installing Magic Mount?
Watch the installation guide from start to finish, check that all kit components are present, and remove your existing plate bracket. Have your plate ready and make sure the surfaces used to attach the bracket are clean and dry before you begin.
What comes in the Magic Mount kit?
The kit includes 2 Magic Mounts, 1 carbon fiber bracket, 1 alignment template, and 2 Vusi Studios screws. The carbon fiber bracket attaches to your license plate and connects it to the magnetic mounts.
Will Magic Mount fit my vehicle and plate?
Magic Mount fits all BMW models, all MINI models, and the MkV Toyota Supra. It is designed for standard 6 × 12-inch North American license plates. Follow the installation video to align and fit the mount correctly.
How long does installation take?
Once your existing bracket is removed, Magic Mount is designed to install in under 60 seconds. Take your time when aligning the bracket and follow the video at your own pace.
Fitting your plate
What is the alignment template for?
The included template helps perfectly center the carbon fiber bracket on the license plate. Follow the orientation and placement shown in the installation video.
Do I need to drill or add glue?
No drilling is required for a compatible installation. The magic mounts use the OEM license plate bracket mounting points. The carbon fiber bracket uses pre-installed double-sided tape to attach to your license plate.
What if my plate is not sitting correctly?
Check the bracket's alignment and orientation against the installation video, and make sure nothing is caught between the connecting surfaces. The magnets are designed to guide the plate into position. If it still does not seat correctly, stop and contact us with photos of the plate, bracket, and mounts before driving.
Removal, care & support
How do I remove and reattach my plate?
Use the removal motion demonstrated in the installation video; you should not need to force the plate or pry at the mounts with a tool. To reattach it, bring the plate close to the mounts and let the magnets guide it into position. Check that it is seated securely before driving.
Can I leave Magic Mount installed every day?
Magic Mount is designed for everyday use, with anodized aluminum, carbon fiber, and fully encased, sealed magnets for protection against the elements. Keep the connecting surfaces clean and check that the plate seats securely whenever you reattach it.
