A major Android reliability pass improves Bluetooth pairing, Dot Wi-Fi setup, reconnection, and software update behavior throughout the app.
Dot can now start with an entire sequence instead of a single animation. Build a startup playlist, reorder it, and fine-tune how each animation behaves.
Playlists now give you more control over sequence behavior, including ordering, looping, delays, and how your setup resumes after playing something else.
Brightness behavior is now more consistent across manual changes, reconnects, playback changes, and display modes, so Dot stays closer to the way you set it.
Animations can now receive updates independently. Revised content can be detected and installed without removing the version you already have on your Dot.
Connecting to Dot, transferring animations, and installing DotOS updates became more reliable, with improved recovery when a connection is interrupted or doesn’t complete normally.
Playback behavior is now more tightly coordinated across animations, triggers, display modes, Now Playing, and other connected features, helping everything stay in sync with the device.
The Dot community is now part of the app. Discover new animations, vote on favorites, share content, and add community-created designs directly to your library.
New display intelligence gives Dot more awareness of how it should behave throughout the day. Expanded modes and more consistent brightness behavior reduce the need for constant manual adjustment.
Dot can now react automatically to your driving environment. Set speed or location-based triggers and have selected animations appear when your chosen conditions are met.
Custom animation support gives you more freedom to personalize Dot. Upload your own content, manage it alongside official animations, and organize your library your way.
Connection handling and device controls became more dependable, making it easier to manage playback, brightness, rotation, startup behavior, and software updates from the app.
Dot received a visual and platform polish pass, with improved consistency across the app, stronger Android compatibility, and the first foundations for deeper iPhone system integration.
The first Dot app brought the core experience together in one place. Browse animations, build your library, connect to your Dot, upload content, and control playback and display settings directly from your phone.
