About the Vanish Plate

How does a Vanish Plate work?

A thin LCD screen sits over your plate. A receiver responds to the remote, switching the screen between its clear and blackout states.

What is the remote’s range?

The wireless range is up to 300 feet, or approximately 90 metres.

Is the screen completely clear when switched off?

No. LCD technology reduces some light transmission even in its clear state, so the screen retains a tint.

Can the plate be viewed through polarized sunglasses?

Yes. The Nano coating is designed to maintain readability through polarized lenses.

Can it block IR cameras?

No. No LCD based product can block IR cameras.
